The Lunchbox: Trailer

the-lunchboxThe Lunchbox aka Dabba written and directed by Ritesh Batra is one of the Hindi films that people have been really waiting for this year. Unlike other such anticipated films The Lunchbox does not boast of big stars, a popular director, fantastic songs etc, and that’s what makes the feeling a lot more special in this case. Produced by a whole host of people and entities both from India and overseas, the primary producers are Anurag Kashyap, Guneet Monga and Arun Rangachari of DAR Motion Pictures.

Featuring Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, The Lunchbox is a quintessential Mumbai film with local trains and the ‘dabba’ playing an integral part of the film. After receiving a lot of attention at Cannes and winning the hearts of all those who have seen the film in festival screenings and private shows and getting picked up by Sony Pictures Classics for distribution in North America, the Indian release is confirmed for 20th September with UTV and Dharma Productions presenting the film. Here is the trailer of the film which gives you a glimpse of what’s in store.

    • There have been private screenings in India where a lot of people have seen the film (including me) & some of them have seen the film in festivals like
