It’s been a while since the Coen Brothers last film Inside Llewyn Davis was released. In this interim, they penned the script for Spielberg’s Bridge Of Spies and George Clooney’s forthcoming directorial venture Suburbicon.
The Coen Brothers are now back with their latest directorial venture Hail,Caesar! The film narrates the story of a Hollywood fixer Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) who solves problems of the industry bigwigs. However, he has to face quite a few unexpected problems when leading star Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) is kidnapped. Like most Coen films, Hail,Caesar! features an ensemble cast comprising of Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson, Jonah Hill, Frances McDormand, Dolph Lundgren and Ralph Fiennes, besides Brolin and Clooney.
The film is scheduled to release on 5th February in U.S and will premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, Germany and Glassgow Film Festival in U.K on 11th and 17th February respectively, which will be followed by a theatrical release in these countries, among others. However, there is no information available currently on its Indian release date.
Meanwhile here’s the official trailer of the film which seems as interesting and quirky as any other Coen film. Do have a look at it and let us know if you liked it or hated it.
